Steps to reproduce:

I have two accounts set up.
One uses POP3 to retrieve email;
One uses IMAP to retrieve email.



Actual results:

POP3 incoming email plays the selected .WAV sound;
IMAP incoming emails do not play a sound.


Expected results:

Both POP3 and IMAP should play the file.

Note: In case of an IMAP account, it would be very nice if it could also play a (different) sound when an IMAP email is _deleted_ from another client, and therefore disappears from the INBOX during an update.

NEW: I deleted the original LDAP account, then set it up from scratch.
Now it DOES play the selected .wav file...
