when /tmp is 100% full certutil goes into an endless loop, at least I assume it is an endless loop, sometimes terminated by a core dump, sometimes not. On the weekend hbombaix /tmp was filled 100%, when QA started the output.log was slightly above 1 GB. When the core dump happens failures are written to result.html, if no core dump happens all QA processes terminate, no failurs are written to the results.html and the following QA scripts report a success. Even though I believe that the processes are terminated by the OS and we can not do anything we should stay aware of the problem that we might get false "QA passes" see also bug #69582 on the certutil loop and #69588 on the QA wrapper

Kirk is working on the certutil bug, and I will put a fix into the QA scripts and the qa_status script to prevent false passes. This issue on this bug is only that the whole process tree seems to be killed (by the OS ?) when the ulimit is reached, and I'd like a Unix-Guru's opinion about this behavior. If you know somebody better suited to look at this problem reassign it, otherwise I think it is lower priority. I don't think it can be fixed, just understood.
marking it invalid myself...
