User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.7; rv:7.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/7.0.1 Build ID: 20110928134238 Steps to reproduce: I recently upgraded my Mac to the latest release with iCloud integration & I configured and activated iCloud. Actual results: After doing so, my Thunderbird stopped autocompleting email addresses for me. I used to rely heavily on my 'collected addresses' autocomplete. But at this point in time, ever since that update and iCloud ... When I start typing an email address, it's in red text, and no autocomplete ever comes up. Regardless of what address I try to type. Be it something from my address book, from iCloud, or from collected addresses. Autocomplete just stopped working. Expected results: Email addresses should have autocompleted w/ dropdown of options, like they always did before.

anything in Tools -> Error console ?
Yes. Under Errors there are a lot of: Error: aFolder is undefined Source File: chrome://messenger/content/folderWidgets.xml Line: 691 Warnings is just full of what appears to be CSS/HTML parsing issues on various emails. And Messages has a bunch of "This server doesn't support RFC XXX" type messages.
I have noticed the same thing. Do you notice if the Mac Address Book even is listed in your Address Book Window and whether you can toggle the File->"Use OS X Address Book" menu item. In my case, the address book does not show up whether or not I have iCloud contact sync enabled, and I can't toggle this menu selection.
An update (sorry, realized I forgot to post it here). This issue cleared itself up for me (dunno about you Jeff) after my next reboot. It seems to be something to do with immediately after activating iCloud. But after a full shutdown/reboot cycle, Thunderbird cleared up.
Eli -- I did a full reboot and it still does not work for me. Are you saying that the Mac Address Book appears in the Address Book window also? Definitely a difference between Lion and Snow Leopard, unless it is some subtle configuration setting between machines as I have two home machines on Lion, and a work machine on Snow Leopard. The Mac Address Book shows up on Snow Leopard, but not Lion.
Same problem, then this worked for me (Thunderbird 8.0 & Lion 10.7.2): I opened Thunderbird's Address Book, then moved my contact list from "Collected Addresses" to "Personal Address Book". Then in Thunderbird's Preferences/Composition/Addressing, I checked the first box (Local Address Books) and the 3rd box (Automatically add outgoing e-mail addresses to my:); I also selected "Personal Address Book" for the 3rd box. Something must have gotten fixed in the past 2 days as I'm running Early bird 10a2 and the Mac OS X address book is visible once again in the address book window.

Turns out, this is still a problem with Lion and Earlybird builds. Still can't see the Mac OS X address book at all. Anyone else can confirm this is a problem for them? Is it possible it is some configuration in my particular setup rather than a general problem? If so, any thoughts on how to troubleshoot this problem?
I finally had some clues and time to debug this. I don't have a complete explanation, but the issue had to do with the Address Book itself, not TB. I ended up removing the cached address book data and entries, and reinabling iCloud to get a fresh address book sync, and then everything started working right.
@Jeff Gehlhaar - I'm having the same problem. How did you remove the cached address book data??
Jeff? (In reply to Ciaran DellaFera from comment #10) > @Jeff Gehlhaar - I'm having the same problem. How did you remove the cached > address book data?? Eli, does this still happen. Note - there are several gsfn topics about icloud: https://getsatisfaction.com/mozilla_messaging/searches?query=icloud&x=0&y=0&style=topics
Per my post (way back up a bit) ... this cleared up for me as soon as I rebooted. It seemed to be a transient issue when having just done the iCloud thing.
Do you still see this when using newer versions?
