69611 - Pasting HTML sends as HTML, even if Send as Plain Text is used

Problem: I pasted in a section of HTML into a message composed as plain text;
when sent, it was sent as a multipart e-mail (with a plain text and inline HTML
sections), even though I have ``send as plain text'' chosen in my preferences.

Correct behaviour: Send as plain text should not send inline HTML sections.  It
should convert the section to plain text and discard the HTML formatting.

Version: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux 2.2.16-22 i686; en-US; 0.8) Gecko/20010220

Steps:
1. Use ``send as plain text'' in preferences and ``compose as plain text'' for
your mail server.
2. Choose an address for To: (I chose from my address book; person was set as
preferred format: unknown)
3. Enter some plain text.
4. Copy and paste a text section from a web site.  The section I picked used
italics and boldface.  It was the abstract from
http://supertech.lcs.mit.edu/cilk/papers/abstracts/abstract4.html
5. It appears that the section has been pasted as plain text
6. Send the message
7. When the message is received, it is multipart with an HTML inline
representing the pasted section.

I have not tested this on other platforms, but I'm sure it is a
platform-independent bug.  I am submitting this as Normal severity, because
people complain when they get unwanted HTML mail.

worksforme linux build 2001-02-20-08.  Using either "send as plain text" or
"send as HTML" in preferences and "plaintext compose" in my server settings.

Ok, I just tried it again, and it behaved correctly this time.

I can't figure out what happened before.  What I've changed is, I deleted my
mail server and re-added it.  It may have been a problem caused by an old
mozilla prefs.js?

Recommending we should just close the bug.  Sorry for the false alarm.
