The nn-NO locale is largely unmaintained on mozilla.org and if we can find new localizers, we will need them to focus on maintaining Firefox first.

On mozilla-europe.org, in agreement with both our Bokmal and Nynorsk teams, we used to serve Bokmal content to both locales and put 2 download boxes on pages with a download box.

We are going to do something similar for www.mozilla.org, as a first step and so as to no longer expose our Nynorsk visitors to English content while we have Bokmal content that is a much better fallback for them.
r96743 remaps all nn-NO pages to nb-NO expect the download pages and the firstrun/whatsnew pages That's a first step allowing a better end-user experience while not making our nn-NO current or potential user base impacted by the change.
looks good and behaves well on stage:

Fallback to nb-NO:
http://www.allizom.org/nn-NO/plugincheck -> http://www.allizom.org/nb-NO/plugincheck

No fallback on download page:
http://www.allizom.org/nn-NO/firefox/new
CCing our localizers.

Guys, would it be possible to just update the main.lang file on mozilla.org so as to maintain an nn-NO translation for the download page? If it's not possible, then maybe we can redirect everything to nb-NO and put a link to the all.html#nn-NO page below the nb-NO box to indicate that Nynorsk can be downloaded there.
