Shannon, staging won't affect syndication - so it's ok to proceed here just by adding the feed, that way it will work when Gary start to publish.

Sounds good. Just want to make sure syndicating it to planet does not cause people to see it right now. We don't want eyes going to an empty blog - per Johnath's note above :)

Adding depends on bug 682913 so we hold off on this until then.

I can add, but we generally include a 1-2 sentence bio (blogs.mozilla.com/planet for example).  Just let me know what it should be.
