Using Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.7; rv:10.0a1) Gecko/20111031 Firefox/10.0a1, I am seeing increased CPU using the latest Flash beta Version: 11.2.202.19.

STR:
1. Load the site in the URL.
2. Watch CPU increase to between 50-60% in the plugin in process

I have attached a sample of the plugin process. During the time of the CPU spike I could not really type in the GMail search field at all.

i ask, because with FP11 and wmode=direct, unsupported GPUs will default to software acceleration.  this would explain the sluggishness when viewing that particular content...

Here are my results testing with Version: 11.0.1.152. My driver is NVIDIA Corporation -- NVIDIA GeForce 9400M OpenGL Engine -- 2.1 NVIDIA-7.12.9 which is not on the Mac list.

1. Load http://alternativaplatform.com/en/demos/crash/ (the other demo would not seem to work for some reason)
2. CPU load seems high and fluctuates as high as 75-80%.

Testing with the latest nightly build, same as in Comment 0.

i've forwarded the bug to the gpu/graphics team.  our internal bug is 3015286.

would you 
post the apple hardware version?
confirm that hardware acceleration is on?
- right click any flash object and select "Settings..."
- select the first tab in the settingsUI and make sure the checkbox is enabled.

the alternativa URL would not load.

the flare3d example hovered around %50 cpu on my test machine and %140+ when hardware acceleration was set to off.
