This is an especially bad user experience since the registration page is a normal browser window which allows the password generating bookmarklet to be used when creating an account.
The idea of generating a higher entropy password from an easy to remember master password I enter each time means I don't have to remember (or ask Firefox to remember) a different password for each site.
The BrowserID dialog/window has destroyed this notion for me. It even ignored my about config setting of browser.link.open_newwindow.restriction set to 0 to force it into a new tab.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Drag the URL link of this bug to your Firefox Bookmarks toolbar or menu.
2. Follow a verification link in your email to complete registration in a normal browser window, eg. https://browserid.org/verify_email_address?token=Psal5ZUH0m0fZBvoxf7c7k1eVAVRSkkSfBGtT9emDatVsUrv
3. Use the bookmarklet to generate a unique password for browserid.org from your own master password, don't let Firefox remember the password (as is the whole point of generated passwords)
4. Go to a page that uses browserid and attempt to sign in, eg. http://evilbrainjono.net/platformer/

Actual results
No access to the password generatin bookmarklet in the browserid window, can't sign in.

Expected results
Access to bookmarks in the browserid window so I can use the password generating bookmarklet.
Just learned that I was meant to file this at https://github.com/mozilla/browserid/issues/
