User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; rv:8.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/8.0 Build ID: 20111031184046 Steps to reproduce: Either quit Firefox using the menu/shortcut, or implicitly try to quit Firefox by logging out. Actual results: Firefox does not quit. The windows are closed, but the app remains active. Unless it crashes by itself after a while, I need to force quit Firefox. Expected results: Firefox should just quit.
Summary: cannot quit → Firefox does not quit: Windows are closed, but app remains active
Reporter, can you still reproduce using a current version? If no, please set status to RESOLVED and resolution to WORKSFORME. If yes, please provide updated information.

I am using Firefox 22. The bug as outlined in the first report. i.e it remains active after closing Still exists. I use Ccleaner after each session and it asks if it must close down Firefox which I have already done. It then says Firefox wont close and asks if it must force a close down. Ccleaner then forces close down and carries on cleaning. I have verified this with the Windows Task Manager. Firefox is not shown under applications but it is shown as running under processes. OS. Windows XP Pro SP3 add-ons. Do not track me. Bluhell Firewall Anti-virus. Threatfire. Pc Tools av. Pc Tools Firewall
