I clicked the close button of a Nightly window that had 1 tab open.
The red icon started flickering very fast and all my Nightly windows became unresponsive. This ended after about 30 seconds and Nightly continues as if nothing had happened.
I expected the window to just close.
Nightly 10.a01 64bit: 2011-10-25
Memory usage at the time:
Working set: 1.6GB
Private bytes: 2.3GB
Virtual size: 3.0GB
About 5GB free, unused memory in the system at the time.

galmok, do you still see this problem when using a current version?

I have not noticed it lately, no.
FF still becomes unresponsive at times, but mostly when it uses lots of memory, even if there is more memory available and even though I use the x64 version. In those cases, I sometimes cannot make FF exit and have to kill it.
