Warrior being rescued from hole
Buried alive; help give this crippled dog a second chance
Dear Lauren,
Our Mdzananda clinic in South Africa has just rescued a dog from a shocking instance of cruelty.
The veterinarian at our clinic received a frantic call that two school janitors were burying a dog alive. Our vet and a caregiver rushed to the scene and demanded that the janitors unearth the dog.
After digging down three feet, they uncovered the dog. Amazingly she was still alive, but barely breathing (the above photograph shows her moments after she was unearthed).
Can you imagine how frightened this poor pup must have felt?
Our team rushed the injured dog to the clinic and began treating her immediately.
They named her “Warrior” because of the spirit she showed in fighting to stay alive. I’m thrilled to report that she did indeed survive, but her recovery will be long and difficult. Her rear legs are partially paralyzed and she needs specialized treatment and a fitted harness to get around.
Will you please help us care for Warrior?
Our Holiday Gift program is devoted to helping provide the ongoing treatment that animals like Warrior need. Your gift will help us care for her, someday find her a loving home, and will help us treat other abused and injured animals.
Please make your lifesaving Holiday Gift donation today.
I’ve seen with my own eyes the horrific effects of abuse on animals like Warrior. And I can tell you that animals who have been abused can be very mistrusting of humans. Who can blame them, when all they’ve known is pain and suffering?
When an IFAW caregiver reaches out to a severely abused animal, it may be the very first time a human has ever shown them a gentle and caring touch.
And that simple and caring gesture changes that animal forever.
When you make a Holiday Gift donation, THAT is the moment you will provide for suffering animals like Warrior.
I know you believe as I do - that a dog who has been through so much suffering deserves a second chance at a happy and normal dog’s life.
Please help us care for Warrior and so many other suffering animals by making your Holiday Gift donation today.
Thank you for caring,

Worried about Donating online?
I used to be too… so I made sure our online system is safe, secure, and state-of-the-art. It also eliminates check-processing costs, so more money goes directly to saving animals. But if you prefer to donate by phone or mail, simply click here for address information.

It is a file in your Thunderbird profile, try to look into C:\users\<username>\applicationd data\thunderbird\profiles\<profile>\ .
Well, that email does look like spam to me :) However, if it is legitimate to you (you are subscribed to that info), you must train the spam engine that it is not spam (always click "not spam" button) until it no longer marks it as spam. That info is in training.dat file, that is why Ludovic would like to see it if it works correctly. Or can just whitelist the sender (add to your addressbook and in account settings set "do not mark as junk if the sender is from <addressbook name>).
You know what? Your comment 2 delivered to my mailbox from bugzilla server was marked as spam :) So I can confirm the first step of yours is true. Message marked as spam. Now the training can be tested.
