Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:7.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/7.0.1
Build ID: 20110928134238
Steps to reproduce:
Received a mail message containing an attached file called "paper.mht". I clicked the "save" button in the bottom right hand corner of the window. I create a new folder on my desktop or use an existing folder for the destination of the file.
Actual results:
Thunderbird appears to save the file (there is a progress bar). But the folder remains empty.
Expected results:
The file should have appeared in the folder.

.mht attachment only problem? Or problem on any save of attached file to mail?
.mht attachment of specific mail only problem?
Content-Type: dependent problem? (e.g. application/octet-stream only problem)
When did the problem started to occur? (after upgrade to Tb 7 from Tb 6, after upgrade of antivirus softoware, after Windows update or Microsoft updat, from specific date, etc.)
If Content-Type: is irrelevant to problem, and if problem on any save of attached file, and if not specific mail only problem, and if problem exists since initial use of Tb 7(or an older Tb release), is same problem as bug 572037?
Only MHT files. Will check content-type. Long term problem reported by users since version 3. No virus software present on my test machine.
Don't understand: ".mht attachment of specific mail only problem?"
