From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.5; Windows 98)
BuildID: 2001021508
Absolute position not supported.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
Try to use absolute positioning.
Actual Results: Please, PLEASE, PLEASE include support for absolute
positioning. Absolute positioning (of DIV's in particular) has been
_absolutely_vital_ to my work. I _hope_and_pray_ you'll include support for it
as soon as possible. Unfortunately, until support for absolute positioning (of
a div-type object, in particular) is added, I will HAVE to omit support for
your browser.
Expected Results: Mozilla should support absolute positioning without delay!
This should be set very high on the priority list.
Thank you so much for the work you do. I hope you will include support for
absolute positioning, especially for DIV's or an equivalent. Absolute
positioning (even if only of a DIV-type object) will vastly increase the
freedom of web design.

Reporter: I have been using absolute positioning with Mozilla for many months
now. see - http://segment7.net/mozilla/mozilla.html and its stylesheets -
http://segment7.net/css/
Heck, even try this code:
<div style="position:absolute; width:400px; height:300px; left:300px; top:20px;
background-color:#FF00FF">Bla</div>

Yes, mozilla supports absolute positioning, but in a drag and drop script the
div's repositioning is very, very slow !!

Verifying wfm. (Win2000, Build ID: 2001022105)
I should have specified that I meant on_the_fly absolute positioning. Absolute
positioning is working fine if the values are specified in the style tag but
for my purposes I need it to be supported on the fly (like having a div and its
contents fly around the screen).

Reporter it would be really nice if you could create a small html file with what
you are trying to do that isn't working (or is very slow) in mozilla? It would
make it much easier for us to understand and fix the problem.
Please attach that testcase using the "Create a new attachment" link above.
Thanks!
