70029 - Mozilla .8 for Solaris crashes on exit trying to save prefs

I just downloaded mozilla .8 for Solaris/Sparc. Mozilla started up fine, I tried
to change some prefs and ran into the classic javascript problem trying to save
them. I browsed a few sites and then quit. Mozilla seg'd and left me a core.  I
started up again, waited for the profile to convert again, and this time exiting
and didn't get the seg. I went back in a couple of times and was able to hit the
can't save preferences problem but couldn't get the seg.

could you try to repro this using a build with talkback, then tell us what the
talkback incident number is? thx! you could be running into bug 68208.

If you let me know where I can get a talkback build then I'll use it. I'm using
Solaris/Sparc and didn't see one with talkback on the ftp site.

hrm...good question. asa/mcafee/leaf, d'you know if there even solaris/sparc
bits with talkback [0.8 milestone or nightlies]? i thought talkback would be
available, but now i'm not sure... :(

Two things :

is because you don't have PSM installed
- the js error (onxblcreate) is the same as the one in bug 68138. it seems to
plague a lot of stuff. reassigning to hyatt who is looking into this for bug 68138

mass verification of WorksForMe bugs: to find all bugspam pertaining to this,
set your search string to "IfItWorksForSlappyTheSquirrelThenItWFM".

if you think this particular bug is *still* an open issue, please make sure of
the following before reopening:

a. that it's still a problem with ***recent trunk builds*** on the all
appropriate platform[s]

b. provide clear steps to reproduce (unless a good test case is already in the
bug report), making sure it pertains to the original problem (avoid morphing as
much as possible :)
