What file did you download, seamonkey-2.7a1.en-US.mac.dmg ?
Does the checksum hash compare?
(Assuming this is from where you've downloaded, & today... Otherwise you'll need to get the actual checksums file that corresponds to what & from where you did download.)
> ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/seamonkey/nightly/latest-comm-central-trunk/seamonkey-2.7a1.en-US.mac.checksums
Using the said file, the hash compares.
And using 7-zip, the file "test" OK (7-zip -t *.dmg).
Using Altap Salamander (file manager), I can open & extract the contents of the dmg without error.
(I'm on Windows so that's as far as I can go with it.)
