This is quite the opposite of bug 661271.

I would love to be able to run the filters when I do "Archive" and then if no filters caught the mail, it should be archived the regular way.

Here is why: 
I archive mailing lists in addition in their own folder. I used to use Evolution just to run these filters (and it looks like I still have to).

The feature should also be safe from the archive folder.

And filters itself should have an option "run on archive" as opposed to "Checking Mail" or "Manually Run"
