As part of our Q4 brand efforts, we'd like to have 8 graphics for Facebook for the remainder of 2011. Bug 700801 will provide copy for 10 Facebook posts. Some of the graphics can go along with the posts and some of these graphics can be standalone. We want to keep the graphics as simple as possible. They'll all probably include a Firefox logo in front of a gradient background and some will have text to go with them. We could also use photos of the Firefox logo around the world, similar to what Starbucks does with their photos. The goal is to use these graphics to develop stronger relationships with our brand and encourage sharing as well. Timing: - 3 graphics by November 22 (including a graphic to be used on Thanksgiving Day) - 3 graphics by November 30 - 2 posts by December 7 (including a post with graphic for Christmas and New Year's) I think the Pepsi, Oreo and Starbucks pages are the best for inspiration: http://www.facebook.com/pepsi https://www.facebook.com/oreo https://www.facebook.com/Starbucks

We discussed this briefly here in Berlin, and should discuss a bit further before getting started. But, Lee is going to take this on. Wohoo LEE !!!

Hey Lee. Did you get a chance to review this bug and sync up with Kristin/William? Our first batch is due early Next week pre-Thanksgiving. And more in the following week(s). Kristin/William, if you have any additional direction to share here that'd be great. I can't imagine us doing a bunch of basic logo graphics with just the background color changed... and I'm not sure how easy it would be to create an image of the logo "around the world" as you suggested if we don't have existing images for that. Pinged Matej on the copy bug to see if we can get some ideas from him before tackling creative. Meanwhile, we can brainstorm.
I think we are going to need some inspiration from the copy to get the graphics developed. In looking at some of the branded FB pages it might be fun to have the graphics mirror the time of year so holidayish stuff, snow, etc. Maybe its something like "tell us where Firefox is?" and it relates to a location or holiday, etc? Just trying to help inspire.
