Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:7.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/7.0.1
Build ID: 20110928134238
Steps to reproduce:
Drag and email into task or calendar pane. Sounds like this used to work. And this has been talked about before. But seems unclear if it's still being worked on. Would have been nice to see it in 1.0. As a very minimum, it would be nice to be able to attach an email to a task or event. (TB 8/9)
Actual results:
Nothing
Expected results:
Create a task or event.

Drag and drop to Today Pane was never supported. You can right click on the email message and choose Convert To Event/Task. This feature is available for a long time.
Otherwise please be more specific. Don't know what you mean or reference with "Sounds like this used to work. And this has been talked about before. But seems unclear if it's still being worked on."

when dragging a mail to the today pane, a plus sign is shown, indicating drag&drop is supported. so there's wrong feedback from lightning or missing functionality.
would be nice, if one could create a task by dragging&dropping the mail to the today pane.
