Steps to reproduce:

1. Right click any Firefox button and chose "Customize..."
2. Check the "Use small Icons" checkbox



Actual results:

Icons are now small but the back button lacks padding to the left, which makes it too close the the border of the browser. Looks ugly.

This was changed in Bug 670565, hence intentional.

All the buttons lack padding. How is this intentional?
It's a bug.

Before you could move the buttons to remove their padding, now you can't get the padding period.

Yeah...I'm with all the buttons should have padding. I've been pretty confused by many changes in Firefox 8, but this is one of the most perplexing.

We had pretty buttons, and now we have ugly buttons?
Was that the plan???

There should be options here, not removal of options.

Small icons mode was removed in Firefox 29.
