After signing up for Affiliates, I am sent to a page that says, an email has been sent to confirm the address. Underneath, there's a "change" link that will just take me to the front page.

Presumably, in order to use a different address I just have to re-register, but that flow is not clear here, so I think the "change" link is more confusing than helpful, and should either be fixed or removed.
Marking as WONTFIX as this flow won't exist once we switch to BrowserID(bug 687500).

Reopening for discussion, as BrowserID has been pushed off for localization, and this change may be useful in the short run.

From a UX perspective, I think the following would work:

1. User clicks the change link.
2. The email address and change link are replaced by a textbox with the user's email address and a button that says "Change".
3. The user enters a different email address and clicks the change button.
4. The registration is updated with the new email, and the user is presented with the post-registration screen again with a new email.

... or just remove that link, I can't remember ever having seen this feature on any website before -- if you routinely purge registration profiles, it won't matter if someone misspelled their email address and signs up again with a different address five minutes later. The wrong address will just vanish from the DB eventually.

Hey mkelly, do you still think it's worth either doing the changes you recommended or just removing the link as Fred Wenzel recommended?

This was for the old Affiliates site, it doesn't apply anymore. Hooray!
