There are over 50 local community sites and as far as I know there isn't a place where the different people involved in those sites can talk to each other.  

There is the MCS project that helps provide support to local sites, but I don't think there was a discussion forum associated with it -- just an IRC channel from what's on the wiki page.

So please set up [e-mail] so we can get everyone running a site or thinking of getting a site set up talking together.

David, I strongly suggest we make this list default moderated (all of the lists I run have little to no spam whatsoever although the moderation duties are heavier.)

Created this list as a moderated list with dboswell as the moderator, waiting for Giganews and Google to sync up. I'll update this bug when it's 100%.

Reopening to confirm that the bridge with the list and Google group is working.  There have been some conversations on the list so far, but nothing is showing up in the group.

I'm not sure if this is related, but I did just get the following bounced error message after posting to the list.  I can send the full email with header if it's helpful.

Posts are again showing up on Google Groups, as well as from Mailman. A request is in with Google to backfill posts to news.m.o prior to March 9,2012 to the list.
