Is this a new dir? Can we use something like http://signed-binaries.pvt.build.mozilla.org instead?
It is a new dir, yeah. We're only going to be using this for ~1 month, but if you'd prefer to use a separate subdomain, that's fine with me!

never mind, we found a workaround (put the file in https://build.mozilla.org/talos/updater.exe)
Severity: critical → normal
Is this ready for me to retry?

Yes, I had to move it to https://build.mozilla.org/clobberer/updater.exe instead, but your windows builds are green now.
Builds are succeeding but updater.exe isn't signed in the elm build:

Latest build and logs: Nov 11th
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/tinderbox-builds/elm-win32/1321018207/

History:
http://hg.mozilla.org/projects/elm/

This might be a comment for khuey's bug, not sure.

Yeah, this bug isn't the right place to debug that.
Ignore comment 7 it's working now.

Any ETA on this part getting done? It's not a blocker, but we need to move the binary to a better home still.

Ah, sorry, I thought this had been fixed.

Turns out that we're going to be using this for another thing, too, so it won't have a short lifetime anymore.

(Also ,updating summary to reflect what I think the reality is.)
Summary: Allow build machines to access https://build.mozilla.org/signed-binaries without authentication → Allow build machines to access http://signed-binaries.pvt.build.mozilla.org without authentication
Blocks: 704578
This is now blocking bug 704578, which is blocking some work on Silent Updates, so I'm upgrading the severity. I don't want anyone to get paged by this over holidays/weekends, but if there's someone around that could look at this today, I'd _really_ appreciate it.

OK, I created this and verified that it works from within the build network. The directory root is /var/www/html/runtime-binaries.
