Any app install button should be a link to the app's manifest URL. This ensures we have a "web" of apps. I.E. a spider friendly chain of discoverability. Con: Exposing manifest URLs for premium apps means that 1) our receipt verification must absolutely work and 2) the app must be handling receipt verification correctly. Pro: Let's not break the web!

when you right click on an app install button, you should be able to 'view http://server/manifest.webapp' in a new window just like a regular link. JS can stop propagation on that do the install stuff but linking to the manifest file keeps the web working as the web.

I'm not sure a spider following a link to a .manifest file helps anyone. I don't mind, but I don't know who it is helping... Closing since it's not an AMO bug anymore.
