Details

This complements bug 674720 in that it provides a Gecko-based storage for WebContacts (rather than going to the Android storage). Currently we're investigating the use of IndexedDB for this (which would require us to ultimately fix bug 587797).

I'm working on an IndexedDB-based prototype including a simplistic Addressbook application at https://github.com/philikon/webcontacts

The bug assignee didn't login in Bugzilla in the last 7 months, so the assignee is being reset.
