During the Channel meeting today, we are troubleshooting what is going on with the explosive crash in Bug 691847. This startup crash is not showing me any overall correlations, but I suspect it may be related to a few different dlls including:

RapportUtil.dll 	3.5.1108.52 	57E7CC7F0237462C977EE6AC04CBF0191 	RapportUtil.pdb

RapportTanzan8.dll 	3.5.1108.52 	2B850B5F0E1C4507AF0628F51064C2DC1 	RapportTanzan8.pdb

RapportTanzan7.dll 	RapportTanzan7.dll@0x3dc3
RapportTanzan7.dll 	RapportTanzan7.dll@0x8db0
RapportTanzan7.dll 	RapportTanzan7.dll@0xc0d1

Here is the signature: [@ js::Bindings::getLocalNameArray(JSContext*, js::Vector<JSAtom*, int, js::TempAllocPolicy>*) ]

Overall query: https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/list?signature=js::Bindings::getLocalNameArray%28JSContext*,%20js::Vector%3CJSAtom*,%20int,%20js::TempAllocPolicy%3E*%29

Can we find out how many of the reports with this signature have a RapportTanzan dll? That will really help us nail down what is going on.

There may be something else going on with another correlation, but based on me looking at some of the individual reports, I suspect that RapportTanzan may be involved more widely in this problem.
Xavier is going to run this against HBase and will report back here. (That's the only place we have this level of module information.)

If it turns out the RapportTanzan dll is not widely present in these crashes, it would be great to aggregate the most common dll or module that shows up in this span of reports.
So I ran this on all processed data for 11/10/2011.

There were 31960 processed reports with this signature and the breakdowns are as follows:

Does not contain RapportTanzan: 31764
Contains RapportTanzan: 196
Question for Marcia: about 1/3 of those crashes have Thunderbird running. That seems like a lot to me. Other than that I didn't see anything weird in the top DLLs but I don't claim to be any kind of authority.

I think Mark said on release-drivers that he thinks Thunderbird is not affected, so CCing him so that he sees that it actually is seeing this crash.
I think this bug can be closed out unless we still need an answer to Comment 6?
Setting this to fixed.
