Steps to reproduce:

The monthly/weekly time paradigm feels rather non-intuitive to me.
A calendar view that allows infinite scrolling through days/weeks/months or even gradually zooming from a day into the year perspective would much better represent the continous nature of time.
This could be visualized by an either horizontal or vertical interface that would allow scrolling through time with different resolutions.
http://madebyevan.com/calendar/ might be a good start although it only features the monthly resolution.
I propose the implementation that through its innovative nature and intuitivity would distinguish the mozilla calendar from all other widely used products.
Funny, I just talked about this on the past weekend at the #mozcamp in Berlin. Were you there? I have been thinking about this for quite some time and would really like to see it. This would also give us a chance to throw out some cruft in the views.

I guess that can be filed under "synchronicity". I was not aware of #mozcamp although I am in Berlin :-D
For an innovative calendar design have a look at http://boxacle.net/jqcaldav/. It is continous and has a "zooming" time scroller...
