This bug was filed from the Socorro interface and is 
report bp-0a4b4de0-1079-4a0f-aa37-bccba2111113 .

no crashes prior to version 7. So either a regression, an addon, or something transient with a news service.  Crashes started Nov 8, which is the day crashes started. So I doubt this is a transient news feed issue.

crash comment for bp-2d0f008a-cfb7-469a-a1bf-0ade92111113 
Since the update, only the headers of news messages are loaded. The loading of message bodies is impossible regardless of the method used, there-including restoring files corrrespondant and regenerating the index or in a proceeding to unsubscribe then resubscribe to the groups.

Steps to reproduce:

Tried to log in to my account on news.ams.newshosting.com after the news-server requested username/password.

arnehamre / venus321

Actual results:

Thunderbird crashed; the crash reporter came up, I sent a report.
Multiple repeats.

Expected results:

The news-server should either have logged me in, or at least complained about faulty username/password.

From the French reporter on Geckozone, it seems that it is because he didn't has this crash before TB8.

not actionable: no steps, and only 3 crashes in 6 months for current version
