Found this during the Robform testing. During the STR below Roboform was not present on the machine.

STR:
1. Install Firefox 8
2. Pave over that install with the Firefox 8.0.1 candidate.

Results:

1. I get the old compatibility check UI
2. It hangs for quite a while (see attached screenshot) - sometimes more than 3 minutes.

This is intentional, the new UI should only be seen by users upgrading from pre-Firefox 8 to Firefox 8 or later and only once. Not sure about the slowness, maybe AMO problems?

Adding Krupa do we know about any AMO Problems at the moment that would cause this lag?

I checked and we do not know of any reasons why AMO would be slow.

The slowness is a very old known issue and already covered by another bug, which I can't find right now. So can we close this bug as invalid?
