User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:11.0a1) Gecko/20111115 Firefox/11.0a1
Build ID: 20111115030957

Steps to reproduce:

This delay is general but this is one way to encounter it.

1. Start Thunderbird
2. Be at the "inbox"
3. Click on the "Calendar"

Actual results:

Instantly the calendar is shown, but now there is a delay of 900mS until the events are shown!

Expected results:

In Microsoft Outlook, the events are shown instantly, and I think Mozilla Calendar is suffering from having worse performance in this area.

Didnt find any duplicate on the link provided. The problem remains in Thunderbird Mozilla 12.0.1 with Lightning 1.4.

This may be improved by the fix for Bug 757467.

Hello,

I just tried with Mozilla Thunderbird 15.0.1 and Mozilla Lightning 1.7 and the problem remains.

On idea to solve the problem would be to make the rendering of the events at the same time as the rendering of the calendar, otherways you will always have a slight delay of calendar showing up first and then the events will be filling the pages.
Version: Lightning 1.4 → Lightning 1.7

Is this still present in latest Thunderbird/Lightning versions?
