There's some info and details floating around email and IRC so thought it best to open a bug and outline and confirm the changes that need to be made to the SOPA snippet tonight. At midnight PST 11/17 these changes should be pushed live through the snippets service: - Copy: Congress is trying to censor the internet. Help Mozilla fight for a free and open web: <Get involved today.> - CTA should point to: https://donate.mozilla.org/SOPA-snippet - Return the previous snippets into rotation Anything else?
- Remove the big black bar from the main Firefox logo.
Also remove the big black bar from Mozilla.org homepage
Micheael Kelly will be helping out here with these next set of changes: 1. re-enabling snippet programming that was running 2. edits to the current SOPA snippet. @Ben, @Mkelly: not sure about who is covering the moz.org homepage mentioned in Comment 2. Since that's a different component than snippets (different team, workflow, etc.) perhaps file a bug for moz.org if you haven't already.
Steps have been completed.
I'm still seeing the old text and link in the snippet (restarted and checked on both aurora and firefox). Am I doing something wrong, or is it not updated?
(In reply to Ben Simon from comment #5) > I'm still seeing the old text and link in the snippet (restarted and checked > on both aurora and firefox). Am I doing something wrong, or is it not > updated? Ben, go to about:home, hit Cmd-Shift-K, enter "localStorage['snippets-last-update'] = 0;" and hit enter. Worked for me.
Thanks -- looks good. Sorry; still learning how things work around these parts :)
