There's some info and details floating around email and IRC so thought it best to open a bug and outline and confirm the changes that need to be made to the SOPA snippet tonight.

At midnight PST 11/17 these changes should be pushed live through the snippets service:

- Copy:

Congress is trying to censor the internet. Help Mozilla fight for a free and open web: <Get involved today.>

- CTA should point to:

https://donate.mozilla.org/SOPA-snippet

- Return the previous snippets into rotation

Anything else?

Also remove the big black bar from Mozilla.org homepage

Micheael Kelly will be helping out here with these next set of changes: 1. re-enabling snippet programming that was running 2. edits to the current SOPA snippet.

@Ben, @Mkelly: not sure about who is covering the moz.org homepage mentioned in Comment 2. Since that's a different component than snippets (different team, workflow, etc.) perhaps file a bug for moz.org if you haven't already.

I'm still seeing the old text and link in the snippet (restarted and checked on both aurora and firefox). Am I doing something wrong, or is it not updated?

Ben, go to about:home, hit Cmd-Shift-K, enter "localStorage['snippets-last-update'] = 0;" and hit enter.

Worked for me.
