User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/534+ (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0 Safari/534.26+ Midori/0.4 Steps to reproduce: On Firefox v5 on the Linux Mint Debian Edition Gnome 3 desktop, I tried to select Activities>Applications>System Info>Default Applications>Web to use Firefox as the default web browser. However, it was not listed. Actual results: Nothing, as it wasn't listed Expected results: It should have been listed, selected, and thus have been made the default browser. As a work-around, I added to my $HOME/.local/share/applications/mimeapps.list firefox.desktop to these lines: x-scheme-handler/http=google-chrome.desktop;epiphany-newtab.desktop; x-scheme-handler/https=google-chrome.desktop; and restarted System Info. Default Applications>Web now has Firefox as a selectable listing.
This is up to the distribution to decide (default browser) and fix (by packaging it correctly). There is nothing that Mozilla can do here - closing as INVALID as this is not Mozilla's fault. Please file a report in the bugtracker of Linux Mint instead. Thanks!

Ok. I have reported it there as well. Not sure if this is Linux Mint Debian Edition's fault or upstream at Debian, but I have already filed it with LMDE. Regards, Nathan
