We need an illustration for the redesigned home page of careers.mozilla.com. Sketch of it here: http://cl.ly/443Y061u1H3o2H1j2l27 Matt - *if* we were able to automate a dot for each employee, what sort of shape would the map need to take? I'm assuming we'd convert to lat/long and then use that to convert to a css position that layered over the hero image. I don't know how to build this so that it's not 1000 html elements and hella slow to load. I'd be fine if it was compressed and recalculated hourly. Any implementation ideas heartily welcomed.

Can we make the globe spin slowly? And you can spin it with your mouse? pretty please?

Oh whoa, we're considering having it update often? Haha, that's awesome. It would possibly be easier to *draw* live and it might be cooler -- there might be some stuff from Glow (http://glow.mozilla.org/) we could use. A flat map is presumably easier to work with. Can I have some time to look into this? I've never played with drawing lat/lngs onto a non-flat map in JS/CSS before.

Cute, though a bit too intensive for a careers page. Still, I'm all for having fun with this.

Hi there, sorry this bug has been outstanding for a while. We're actually in the process of updating a variety of pages on mozilla.org and the careers page is a part of that. We've already updated the skin to reflect the latest theme (it's in implementation) and will be enhancing the page with the appropriate visuals in the near future. until then, I'm going to close this bug. I can either reopen when the time comes or be sure to link the two bugs so you can stay in the loop. Thanks.
