Steps to reproduce:

I tried to visit https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Mozilla_Quirks_Mode_Behavior  but that page did not load (it gives an empty screen).  How did I get to that link?  I suspect that I tried to visit http://developer.mozilla.org/en/Mozilla_Quirks_Mode_Behavior but my browser uses HTTPS Everywhere, so it converted the http: to https:.


Actual results:

Nothing happened.  No content loads.  I have an empty screen.   There is nothing in the error console.


Expected results:

The page should have loaded.

More generally, the bug is probably that developer.mozilla.org should be configured so that anything it is willing to serve over http:, it will also serve over https: -- or that developer.mozilla.org should otherwise be configured so that it works well with HTTPS Everywhere.

developer.mozilla.org actually serves all content via https by default.

The problem with this page is probably just the wiki software misbehaving as it often does. Out of several attempts to open it here, sometimes I get a Service Unavailable message, and sometimes it opens fine.

(Interestingly, parallel attempts to open another page - https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Extensions/Inline_Options - never resulted in an error page for me.)

HTTP/HTTPS is discussed in bug 671794

With Kuma, our new software behind MDN, https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Mozilla_Quirks_Mode_Behavior loads fine for me and the site is more stable in general.
