Drop-down menus don't display properly. The menu flashes quickly and closes before a selection can be made. Only happens using Firefox. Scrolling seems to keep returning to top quickly as well.

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:8.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/8.0
Build ID: 20111104165243

Steps to reproduce:

This problem only happen after last update to 8.0. Now every time I click a drop down menu or try to scroll to the end of a list, Firefox will flash back to the top before a selection can be made.

Actual results:

I can't fill out forms or select a size when ordering from a web site. Also scrolling bar doesn't work, when I click and hold to scroll to the bottom of a list,

Expected results:

When clicking a drop down menu the menu should remain fixed so the user can actually see the topics available and select one. The scrolling feature should allow scrolling to the bottom of a list rather than immediately returning to the top instantly.
Please provide an example page URL where you have this problem and give exact steps to reproduce.
Severity: normal → S3

Also affects MacOS, if users use css and/or the font size preferences.

I have the same problem with ubuntu 22.04.1 and X11/vtwm window manager. When you click on a menu (any menu, for example FIle or the stackmenu), the menu is supposed to stay open while you move the mouse to the item you want to select. Instead the menu disappears as soon as the mouse is moved.

Problem observed in 110.0.1, and was not observed in 103.2
