User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-ca) AppleWebKit/531.2+ (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0 Safari/531.2+ Ubuntu/10.04 LTS () Epiphany/2.30.2 Steps to reproduce: attempted to assign a unique name for each current window Actual results: it failed. Only one userdefined name is now allowed and it applies globally to all current windows Expected results: An option for creating a unique user-defined name in the titlebar for EACH open window, eg, BUGS, 'Problem sites', etc., rather than just 1 user defined text which applies globally. This would help hugely in managing windows and quickly accessing open pages; we often have 10 or more windows with distinctly different subject matters open concurrently. There is NO addon usable in FF7 or later which allows the creation and retention of a unique user defined name to be prepended to the URI, URL etc in the TitleBar. I respectfully suggest that this user defined variable window name option should be a part of FF or an addon, it is a MUST HAVE for power users, nightly build testers and others.
In reply to comment #0: - Nightly Tester Tools is severely understaffed. - I'm not sure how to define different titles on a per-window basis and have them persist over a restart of Firefox, especially since the NTT custom title feature seems broken in SeaMonkey (which I use) - I'm also not sure how NTT applies to whatever browser you are using (Safari? Epiphany? Konqueror? Chrome?). - If this is a <shout>MUST HAVE</shout> for you, you are welcome to code it, test it, and attach a modified version of NTT to this bug for us to test further. - Further discussion is also welcome in the #ateam channel of the moznet (aka irc://irc.mozilla.org ) server.
