When the user does not have the extension installed, they are not able to launch apps from the Dashboard. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Launch Firefox 2. Make sure you do not have the apps extension installed 3. Go to apps.mozillalabs.com/appdir and install an app 4. Go to myapps.mozillalabs.com and try to launch the app Alternate Steps: 1. Launch Firefox 2. Install the apps extension - can be found here http://people.mozilla.com/~dclarke/openwebapps/Extension/ and look for openwebapps-10a4a41b66-11_22_2011.xpi 3. Go to apps.mozillalabs.com/appdir and install an app 4. Remove the extension 5. Go to myapps.mozillalabs.com and try to launch the app Actual Results: Nothing happens when you click on an app. Expected Results: App is launched successfully in an app tab.
This is related to the HTML5 implementation and occurs when using browsers other an Firefox as well.

This now works properly with the latest code from develop. Tested with Firefox (8.0.1 and 9b4), Chrome, Safari and Opera on Windows 7. Also tested on Firefox 8.0.1 and 9b4 on Windows XP, Vista and Mac. The app is launched in a new tab now (not in an app tab and this is the expected behavior without the extension installed).
