Hi Matej,

We will be putting Aurora into the Android Market for the Dec 20 merge, and will need some copy that conveys 1) What Aurora is and 2) Benefits of using Aurora (Grace: messaging input?) We need to make it extremely clear that it is Firefox, but users should expect instability. Can pull from: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/aurora/

Other requirements:
-link to Aurora Notes
-link to feedback (http://mzl.la/FXinput)
-About Mozilla
-Supported platforms

Deadline: Dec 15

Thanks and let us know if you have any other questions!

Hi all - wanted to give an update that this is on hold. Product is going to make the final decision on whether we will be putting Aurora into the Android Market. Thank you!

Hey Matej,

Placing Aurora in the Android Market is at a stop and go, so it might be good to have something prepared just in case.

Going from the requirements above and copy from https://etherpad.mozilla.org/FirefoxAuroraCopy, I was thinking something along the lines of:

Preview features. Share feedback. Shape the future of Firefox.

Firefox Aurora lets you experience the newest innovations before they go to Beta in an environment that’s not for the faint of heart.

Preview Features
-Get a first look at the latest developer tools, security features and innovative HTML5 and other Web technologies.

Share Feedback
-Test performance in an experimental environment, file bugs and help us determine what makes it to Beta.

Shape Firefox
-Become part of a community of users, contributors and developers working to make the next Firefox our best yet.

The Firefox browser works on most Android devices. See if it works on yours: http://www.mozilla.org/mobile/platforms/

I tried not to use too many "Firefox" keywords in there to try to target only people looking for Aurora will find it. Also realized won't need Aurora notes in the description because there's a What's New Tab. Finalizing with Grace what link/how users give feedback.

This looks great to me. I'd only make one small change to the following line (just adding the words Aurora and Web):

The Firefox Aurora Web browser works on most Android devices. See if it works on yours: http://www.mozilla.org/mobile/platforms/

I'm also wondering if we should update the About blurb to be in line with the new brand messaging and the new /about page we're working on (we would also have to update this for GA):

Mozilla is a proudly non-profit organization dedicated to keeping the power of the Web in people's hands. We're a global community of users, contributors and developers working to innovate on your behalf. When you use Firefox, you become a part of that community, helping us build a brighter future for the Web. Learn more at mozilla.org.

Good idea - I'll go ahead and update it for en-US and get this section localized. Thanks Matej!

Grace does this look ok?
