- open Inbox;
- go Messages|Search messages;
- enter Search criteria, click Search button;
//note: the status bar tells you "2 matches found" but the actual window is empty

Worksforme usisng 2001-02-26-05 commercial trunk build with win98.

What kind of search were you doing, what criteria, what kind of account?
Does this happen every time?
Does a resize of the search dialog/results pane help?

search for IMAP account with an old profile using as a criteria "Sender=
contains=xxx"

Hmmm, still worksforme using feb28 trunk build win98, searching my (old, not
newly created or migrated) profile on IMAP account search for sender contains .

Any unusual content in the text string in sender you were searching for?
Do you have any problems displaying those messages in the mail folder itself?
Again, does this happen on every search?

it looks like some data got corrupted after migration because i can not
reproduce it with a new profile, marking as worksforme
