As long as Netscape 6 is running, selection is broken in Dreamweaver 4.
Selecting a sentence fragment by clicking and dragging in Dreamweaver 4 doesn't
work.  The problem goes away when Netscape 6 quits.
But would this be a Dreamweaver problem or Netscape problem?

I think he might mean, but I am not sure, that when Netscape 6 is running, it
must somehow change something in selection settings in Mac. It is almost 99% a
Netscape 6 problem instead, not a Dreamweaver problem. When I get home, I will
test this bug on my win98 machine, and see if running dreamweaver with mozilla
0.9.2 causes the same problem.

Reporter: Is this a problem with a more recent build ?

Yes, this still occurs with a recent build (0.9.4 branch from last week). 
There's something we're doing that appears to keep the front application from
getting certain kinds of events even if we're in the background with no windows
open.  Macromedia issued a patch that fixes their selection if a certain amount
of time has gone by without getting an event, but the net effect is that their
selection is still jerky if Netscape is running idle in the background as
compared to running Dreamweaver without Netscape running.  Other applications
don't affect Dreamweaver in this way.

As I see it this was last tested with 0.9.4. Is this still a problem now that we
are at moz 1.0.1, moz 1.2a and NS 7 ???

Reporter:Can you please verify that the problem is still present or close this bug ?

I don't have the right software to test this any more.  The problem is not
applicable to Mac OS X.
Mozilla CFM build is dead; should this bug go with it?
