Details
When the Web page contains paragraphs of text, the lines of text are long enough that when I zoom in so that the text is large enough to read, the
lines are wider than the phone. This means I either have to zoom back out and look at tiny (unreadable or perhaps barely readable) text or I have to scroll side to side to read each line of text.
I found this bug in birch build (20111125) using a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Android 3.1.

The above bug shows in all the sites I browse to.
If you're seeing that on a device as large as a Galaxy Tab 10.1, then it's a problem with the Web site. If you believe it isn't, please provide the URLs of such sites.

(To add context, this bug report was pretty clearly filed using the "file a bug" link in my blog post here: http://dbaron.org/log/20111126-font-inflation , and the description of the bug is largely a slightly-rephrased quote from that blog.)

The issue seems to be connected to the checkerboard I see to the right and left of the sites (Bug 705387)
