User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:8.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/8.0 Build ID: 20111104165243 Steps to reproduce: Close Firefox window on Windows XP Actual results: Every time I close firefox window, the following things happen: * the window disappears * if at least one plugin-container process is active, their number remain unchanger; but if no plugin-container is there, a lot of plugin-containers suddenly appear * Firefox process start growing and usually stops at 190.000 / 200.000 KB * If I don't close firefox process, the system freezes Expected results: I think it's obvious
I forgot: if a Facebook page was open, after SEVERAL minute an alert appears, telling me that a JavaScript is slowing down the browser, and asking me if I want to close it. --- No such issue ever happened on Firefox 7.
Does the issue still occur if you start Firefox in Safe Mode? https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode
