We are launching a new donation campaign, asking folks to watch a video and donate, which we're launching by December 5th at the very latest. It's built off of an existing Blue State Digital donation page (Mozilla Foundation's Payment processor -- it's based on a previously tested page). But the page wrapper has changed slightly and there will be one major difference here, which is the inclusion of a video on the page. The current video is a placeholder.

The page that needs QA is here: https://donate.mozilla.org/page/contribute/the-mozilla-story

Please note that BSD does not have a staging environment, so the page itself is live (but not linked from anywhere).

Thanks!

Hey all - possible to go through this tomorrow? We need to start actively linking the page by Monday at the latest.

Thanks!

Sure; to help us better-test the various configurations, can you please list the following:

A) Supported browsers (including versions and platforms) using Flash to view the video
B) Flash-less browsers (the "just-installed" scenario", so those including, but not limited to, native OGG, native "HTML5" video, etc.), and in which format(s) we should expect fallback to occur.

Thanks!
Just got this back from the developer -- let me know if you need anything else?

YouTube specific answers can be found via the YouTube system requirements page:

We would also recommend support on the following minimum browsers: Chrome 15 (it's very, very rare to find a user with an old version of Chrome), Internet Explorer 7+, Firefox 3.6+, and Safari 5+.

As for computers without Flash installed, that's more difficult to say. We recommend testing on the iPhone/iPad, it should also work on Safari 5+ on the Mac and PC without Flash.

Thanks, Ben. We'll get this before Monday. In the future, especially with video + fallback functionality, can we get a little more lead time? Thanks!
Awesome, thanks.

Sorry about the short turnaround -- I'd been shooting to have it to you about a week earlier, but things took longer to come together than I'd hoped.

Will definitely have more lead time for you on something like this next time.
Page has been live, and bug 713537 has been verified now, too.
