While discussing bug 662444, Vlad suggested that addons might be a contributor to slow shutdown. Adding telemetry to identify problematic addons with regard to shutdown would be good. I don't know how feasible it is to identify "bad" addons here, since they (I assume) go through the same JS APIs that our chrome code does.

Judging from the hang detector, plugins are a fairly major source of hangs. I'm not sure if you mean telemetry for figuring out time spent in addons in general, or assigning blame to particular addons. I'm going to assume the former, if we don't have a window on that.
