This bug will deal with removing obsolete projects from Verbatim. For the time being, we'll keep them in SVN or whatever VCS they're in, for the purpose of back-up and translation reuse. Current projects on Verbatim: Addons Mozilla - in use Affiliates - in use Bugzilla Component Descriptions - not in use, but it's probably going to be used sometime Firefox Home - not being worked on anymore Firefox Input - in use Hackasaurus - in use, new Join Mozilla - old, only for certain locales, 100% done Mozilla Developer Network - in use Mozillians - in use Student Reps - old, last change in June(in Verbatim) Support Mozilla - in use Webify Me - retired, should be removed asap
I think we should remove Webify Me (but first make sure everything's committed) and Firefox Home.
[verbatim@sm-verbatim01 webifyme]$ svn st [verbatim@sm-verbatim01 webifyme]$ Removed project from Verbatim.
There are several projects in Verbatim that should be removed. Many localizers don't know they are obsolete and still translate them. I'll keep them in VCS for now (if they are in VCS). Just in case. https://localize.mozilla.org/projects/testing/ -> just a test project https://localize.mozilla.org/projects/pootle/ -> probably installed as a sandbox project, yet 12 locales touched it this year https://localize.mozilla.org/projects/joinmozilla/ -> last activity in 2011 https://localize.mozilla.org/projects/fxhome/ -> Firefox Home is a retired project https://localize.mozilla.org/projects/studentreps/ -> studentreps.mozilla.org redirects to wiki, 1 activity in last 5 months https://localize.mozilla.org/projects/hackasaurus/ -> isn't this part of Webmaker now (goggles)? https://www.transifex.com/projects/p/webmaker/language/en_US/ If anyone thinks we should keep any of those projects in Verbatim, please let me know. I'll wait for your comments a week.
