We shouldn't default to http or https - that's an important distinction the author should make. We should clearly explain that they need to make that decision though.

https://github.com/mozilla/zamboni/commit/2d38ba3 This requires a protocol, but shows a door hanger if the user types more than 8 characters and no protocol is given. Clicking "http" or "https" in the modal will append it to the front of the URL.
