Steps to reproduce:

Hit CTRL-f to search for "a", then lots of CTRL-g's


Actual results:

The cursor disappears when it finds text inside the button label.


Expected results:

It should still penetrate buttons, but remember to show where we are!

openSUSE 12.1, Gnome 3.2.2, Firefox-12.0a2, i reproduced the steps you mentioned and this problem is not present anymore.
Indeed. Closing. However a similar Bug 725651 is still present with
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:12.0a2) Gecko/20120210 Firefox/12.0a2 Iceweasel/12.0a2
