We dropped support for GTK 2.10 on Linux (see bug 660448 and bug 666735 if you're good at reading tea-leaves), but still say in the system requirements that you need
 * GTK+ 2.10 or higher

Please change it to say "GTK+ 2.11 or higher" on the requirements pages for Fx7, 8 and onwards.
CCing SeaMonkey folks as this probably needs to be done for their system requirements as well.
A bit out of scope for this bug, but since it's just a doc update, could this cover bug 706726 as well? Assuming that you agree the minimum hardware information would be a worthwhile addition :)
We also needs this for Thunderbird
Just updated the SeaMonkey requirements page, including the list of supported distributions (thankfully Distrowatch lists gtk+ versions!):

Old:
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 (or later)
Fedora Core 6 (or later)
ubuntu 6.10 ("Edgy") (or later)
openSUSE 10.2 (or later)

New:
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 (or later)
Fedora Core 8 (or later)
ubuntu 7.10 ("Gutsy") (or later)
openSUSE 10.3 (or later)

Unchanged:
Debian "Lenny" (5.0.x) (or later)

Back in January (see comment 4) I updated the SM requirements under the assumption that the FF and TB pages would be updated accordingly shortly afterwards. However, almost one year later, SM is still the only one to claim that GTK 2.11 is required:

http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/17.0/system-requirements/
http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/17.0/system-requirements/
http://mxr.mozilla.org/mozilla-release/source/configure.in#67

All of the above say GTK 2.10. Now who's right?

(Actually, the TB requirements currently say GTK 2.18, which is probably wrong.)
See also bug 794299, for a bunch of later churn which probably changed things again.
With bug 814456 fixed, FF and TB pages now state the new minimum GTK version is 2.18. I guess that's determined at compile time, and SM might actually be the exception there. I need to check with our releng guys, but that follow-up will be done outside of this bug, which you can probably close now.

Yeah, I think this is WFM now.
