Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:8.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/8.0
Build ID: 20111104165243
Steps to reproduce:
(Tested in Thunderbird 8.0 on Windows XP SP3)
1. Start composing a new message
2. Open an existing message with multiple attachments
3. Attempt to drag and drop multiple attachments to the message you are composing
4. Note how many attachments drop into the message you are composing (= only 1)
5. Note how many attachments show up in the message in your Sent Items and in the recipient's e-mail (again = only 1)
Actual results:
Only 1 attachment was dropped into the message I was composing. After I sent it, I confirmed that the message had only 1 attachment in the Sent Items folder, and that the receiving e-mail account got a message with only 1 attachment. So far seems to be reproducible and not depend upon the type of attachment, but I haven't done an exhaustive test.
Expected results:
All selected attachments should have been copied into the message I was composing.

Forgot to add that dragging and dropping multiple attachments 1 at a time works as expected. It is just dragging and dropping multiple attachments at once that does not work: selection of multiple attachments looks normal, but then 1 is chosen (not necessarily first in the list) and dropped into the new message.

There should be a fix for this in bug 702094.

Is this really the same as bug 270292? It looks to me like that bug is likely related, but not the same -- that one is about dragging and dropping multiple attachments to file system folders, whereas this one is about dragging and dropping multiple attachments between an old message and one being composed.
