I don't hope to ship this, but while we are hacking on about:home, we need to see how long it takes.  right now, it is taking *OMG* 3 seconds to load the page completely.  Way too long.  Yea, you can say it is loading content from different places... but man, we need to do better.

Let's just output to the log. As the home page is "styled" this textview becomes a bigger PITA.

because we need high visibility for this.  I want people coming to us saying on my droid it shows 1500ms.
If this were something we had no idea how to fix, I'd be more inclined to agree. But as it stands, we have several optimizations we know we need for about:home. I think a log message is more than enough.
This was the same thinking that put the FPS meter "always on" too. And it never really had any affect on testers/users
