Hi, We are going to launch the Marketing SIG soon, an would be great if we also can have a logo for this group (the logo is not a blocker for the launch). For example, the Communication SIG have their own logo: https://wiki.mozilla.org/File:CommsReps_img_lrg.png We would love to have something like that. Hi Santiago. It'd be great to get more info about this like you suggested. For example, do we really even need a logo for this? Generally, we try to be pretty limited about what we create logos for...it can create brand confusion and logo overload if we do too many. In this case, it would seem that every SIG within REMO doesn't really need its own logo. If we really need something to distinguish each SIG I would recommend doing text variations on the REMO logo rather than creating something new from scratch for each. Am happy to discuss more, but that's my initial take.
Hi John, thanks for your reply! It's very interesting what you say (actually, we never thought about variations of the REMO logo). As you suggested, I think that the best option is a variation of the REMO logo (but just if it is something easy to do and doesn't bring confusion to people). In case of will not be able to have an image that distinguish us, could we have our own colour design on the Marketing SIG wikipage. Hey Santiago! Not sure if I understand your request regarding Color design. Could you please clarify? Seems like the wiki is just something you can edit on your own with the desired color(s), right?
Hi Tara! That's right, you can choose the desired color(s). I was asking if you can choose those colors to make a beautiful combination but I have already made it. If you want to check it: https://wiki.mozilla.org/ReMo/SIGs/Marketing (you are invited to suggest other possible combinations if you find it very horrible). So, for now it's done. Going back to the REMO logo variation for the Marketing SIG. Do you think that is possible and recommendable?
Great. It seems like there are some larger discussions going on around Remo branding and "grow mozilla", student reps, etc. So... perhaps we should hold off until we figure out what's going on there and then re-visit SIG ? I think a variation with the Remo Logo and a new wordmark solution like what John suggested would be best. Are you okay holding off on this for now? does the colorized wiki suffice for your purposes in Q4 ?
Yeah, all of us are blocked because of that. I think that we will have all this defined for January. So, let's wait for a while. Yeah, for now it's perfect. Thanks for all your help!

+1 on a wordmark variation. Seems like the cleaner and most scalable option. This is nothing urgent so no worries about holding (for now)! Santiago, can you monitor the progress on Contributor Engagement's side and ping the creative team when things get clearer?
